LCISD Parent Advisory Committee

Current Newsletter

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of parents of children with disabilities.  Members are recommended by their public school agency for appointment by the Lapeer County Intermediate School District (LCISD) School Board.  Each local district, the Intermediate School District and each public school academy has representatives who serve on the PAC.

The PAC's primary function and responsibility is to make suggestions regarding the Intermediate School District's overall plan for programs and services, and to help parents of children with special needs understand the special education process, programs and laws.

In addition, The PAC provides support to parents who have questions or concerns about the special education process.  You are encouraged to call your local representative, or any other PAC member listed below.

The mission of the Lapeer County Intermediate School District Parent Advisory Committee is to promote partnerships among parents and educators that benefit students with disabilities.

Meetings are held the First Monday of each month at the Lapeer County  ISD Education and Technology Center, 690 North Lake Pleasant Road, Attica, MI  from 7:00 - 9:00pm.  The PAC welcomes and encourages your participation and suggestions for speakers and workshops.   For additional information, please contact the Lapeer County ISD at (810) 664-5917.
